Descriptively explain your current knowledge about Star Wars:
I've seen all the films and continued learning more about Star Wars by playing games that predate the films.
How would you define a quality member?
Someone who can demonstrate Leadership in the group, follow these 7 values and the group can excel in anything.
L - Loyalty
D - Duty
R - Respect
S - Selfless Service
H - Honor
I - Integrity
P - Personal Courage
(I'm currently military so I always follow this)
Have you read over the guild rules? Prove it. Be creative or give insight on some of the rules you agree with or disagree with.
Guild Rules:http://theoldjediorder.webs.com/njorules.htm
Yes I have read the guild rules and I only have one comment on it. To me the rules cover just about everything that will keep the guild in good shape if followed correctly my only opinion I've caught notice to is reporting to the grandmaster of any mishaps. I do read as well that it says "Or report to other council members" but I believe there should always be a chain of command put in place with an added "open door policy" to the rules. *I've learned this going through military training.*
Although you can go to the grandmaster I'm all for it but I believe since this person is at the top he/she should not be flooded with problems that other council members could resolve by following chain of command especially when the grandmaster might have a bigger issue that he/she must resolve.
Chain of Command example - If you cannot resolve it for the individual than go to your Jedi Master (Trainer). If that person cannot resolve it than head to a council member. If that council member does not help than move up to a higher council member so fourth till it can only be resolved by the grand master
Open Door Policy - Is when the complainer does not get the issue resolved with the his/her Jedi Master (Trainer) than the complainer has the RIGHT to go to a higher up for another opinion without any problems given from the Jedi Master after he/she has already given an answer.
**You have no idea how well the "Open Door Policy" has helped so much if it was put in place within the guild so instead of getting a flat no end of story you always have a RIGHT to get a second opinion from another higher up. I've had this used in other guilds I've been in, in other games***
Do you agree to follow them to the best of your ability?
Of course! or I would not be a true member if I do not.
What are your expectations upon joining this guild?
I expect to join a very mature guild that works together and friendly also with added RP. I join guilds with expectations if one puts in hard work and shows dedication that there is always a place to be promoted to the next rank which I believe this guild shows very well with the ranking system in place.
How did you hear about us?
Through extensive research on the game forum "Guild" section. I believe this guild has the best potential to lead a very strong group of players to something good when the game comes out.
What is your own definition of respect?
By showing respect to others in language and actions. Someone who will stop to greet a higher ranking player because he acknowledges that the higher ranking player has put in hard work to be where he/she is. Someone who will turn and walk away after having dirt thrown in his/her face by a fellow member and will report it instead of making matters worse for both parties.
Do you confirm, that you are a mature player of mind, and will respect the rules of the guild. You are responsible for your own actions. Should you ever have any problems, questions or concerns, you will be expected come to the council so that we may discuss them openly and maturely to find a solution to your issue/s:
Yes I confirm this.
What is your definition of loyalty?
Someone dedicated to the cause in the guild. A person who can be trusted and whos name should come to mind when someone thinks of a good player. Loyalty is the most valued of the 7 values I've given in the previous question that should always be followed at all times.
Have you been in a previous guild? Reason for leaving?
Yes, Mainly through the players disbanding to move on to newer games.
How would you describe yourself in less then 20 words?
I am dedicated. I set my mind to something I will work hard till I reach my goal.
**Well that was a bit of a challenge to keep it under 20 words haha**
Will you be willing to learn in a Star Wars envrionment following a mild to low RP setting among members?
Yes I love RP! it's a great experience to place yourself in a whole new world when roleplaying.
History and experience in the gaming world?
Dark Age of Camelot
Wow (Not to much though didn't like the style of it)
Planetside
City of Heros
Many more that are non MMO
Whats are your skills and talents? (One's you typically enjoy doing) I love to learn new things everywhere I go and willing to try new things but my number #1 hobby is film. It's hard for me to put my camera down once I hit record.
Thank you for your time and I hope to get word soon on the status of my application thank you again
