Character + Forum Name (Keep these the same please): ZOFF
Descriptively explain your current knowledge about Star Wars:
I have been reared on SW films, and took up playing games set in the SW universe back in 1984, or something like that (Yes, I owned a ZX . I have played almost all games made by LA except on consoles (I do only PC). As far as the knowledge on the Jedi Order goes, when I discovered SW, the Jedi turned out to be very much the King Arthur's knights all over again, only even cooler. I probably should not admit these things publicly, but ever since I learned how to read I have been a sucker for larger-than-life heroes who fight evil and never compromise about it with anyone (including themselves).
How would you define a quality member?
One of many, working together to achieve the goals of the Order. I have played other MMOs and I have always hated mavericks that were in the guild when they needed help, but you could not get them to play for the team otherwise. I have read about this guild and it seems to be set up to be different, so I hope that this time I will end up playing with friends who actually do play together.
Have you read over the guild rules? Prove it. Be creative or give insight on some of the rules you agree with or disagree with.
I agree with the rules completely, and I have already mentioned that I dislike people who use their guild for personal gain but do not give back when asked. I only hope that the rules will be enforced strictly, because almost all of them have obviously been written with the aim of making this a cooperative and mature effort. I lean towards playing this as close to what a real Jedi should be as I possibly can, which means that offensive language and abusive personalities would ruin the membership in this Guild for me. I want to be able to live a Jedi’s life for a few hours while I'm in the game, and I do not remember any of the Jedi I have seen in films or read about, acting like that.
Do you agree to follow them to the best of your ability?
Without any reservations.
What are your expectations upon joining this guild?
I expect to enjoy the experience of the game together with a group of people who share my fascination with the Jedi and what they represent. The Jedi have always been able to trigger my imagination in a flash, so I want to play as one, and I hope to find this kind of environment in this guild.
How did you hear about us?
SWTOR site
What is your own definition of respect?
To be able to actually realize that your personal freedom is limited to the extent that it should not limit anyone else’s.
Do you confirm that you are a mature player of mind, and will respect the rules of the guild? You are responsible for your own actions. Should you ever have any problems, questions or concerns, you will be expected come to the council so that we may discuss them openly and maturely to find a solution to your issue/s:
Yes
What is your definition of loyalty?
Allegiance of mind and/or action that, once given, cannot be in good faith withdrawn without loss of honor
Have you been in a previous guild? Reason for leaving?
No
How would you describe yourself in less then 20 words?
A grown man who has never let go of the kid within.
Will you be willing to learn in a Star Wars environment following a mild to low RP setting among members?
Yes I would, that is no problem
History and experience in the gaming world?
As I mentioned I started on a ZX Spectrum, and I have never stopped playing since. Admittedly, I am usually best at RTS games, but RPGs come a close second. If I can say so, I'm normally quite good at this, but you should probably know that I am usually limited to only a few hours of playing a day.
What are your skills and talents? (One's you typically enjoy doing)
I suppose that this pertains to my choice of class in RPGs, and that is usually a class that has a good mix of fighting skills and special powers. I prefer playing in a team or a group, because that provides for a wider selection of tactics using special skills of all members, which makes it far more interesting.
